Transcend Aging: A Holistic Case Study

6-week aging series using connective tissue + buccal massage

Client:

Rosie

Time Frame:

6 weeks

Sessions:

6 - 90-Min Spell + Ritual

Total Estimated Investment:

$900

Primary Client Concerns:

Signs of aging, sagging, looking tired, jaw tension and migraines. One eyebrow was more droopy than the other.

My Concerns:

General signs of aging, moving fat pads, lifting and firming, reducing sagging in the neck. Loss of connective tissue strength and hypertrophy in the jaw from clenching.

Root Cause Investigation:

Rosie’s skin was pretty healthy and her concerns outside of structural aging were related to pigmentation, which we did not treat with this series.

She has a lot of tension in her scalp, neck, jaw and ears which causes regular migraines.

Treatment Approach:

  • Home care: Nothing was changed in Rosie’s home care regimen. I wanted to isolate the improvement based on massage only.

  • Services: My goal was to see the changes in structure only, so I was not concerned with product much in her treatments. The one thing I did was exfoliate each time with an enzyme and/or acid and increase strength up to the last treatment, because we knew that her next step after this series was going to be changing up product to treat her pigmentation. If I had time, I added a hydrating mask after her massage.

  • I used fascia sculpting and intraoral massage in every treatment with manual lymphatic drainage. More tension release and drainage were included as needed with Gua Sha.

  • Energy work and sound healing were used in every session to encourage relaxation + parasympathetic activation.

Results:

Within a few treatments, Rosie was getting compliments from people who said she looked younger and her skin looked glowing and healthy.

By the end people were asking if she had a facelift!

Although she suffers from regular migraines, she did not suffer from a single migraine during her series.

My goal at the beginning was really to focus on asymmetry, but she ended up getting amazing results with an all-around lifted appearance. This is what I noticed:

  • Her face looks more open - it’s like everything lifted back and up

  • Her skin tone and overall texture and hydration is better due to improved circulation

  • The jowls and neck are obviously lifted

  • Cheek bones are more prominent (kinda looks like filler honestly)

  • Her eyes are brighter; more open and lifted

  • Drooping has improved on the affected eye, although it is still slightly heavier (usually this is a weaker or atrophied muscle)

  • Her ear bones would crackle when I put pressure on them in the beginning of the series and over time, as muscles in the surrounding area were released, this stopped

  • Muscles around the mouth are lifted

Follow Up + Long Term Plan:

We are doing regular facials on Rosie once a month with Connective Tissue + Buccal Massage for maintenance. We are also working on some melasma with a more aggressive treatment and home care regimen. More on that in the future!
